Been Awhile

Well, it's been awhile.

Mackenzie is walking (no, running) everywhere and getting into everything.

She's down to one nap a day most days for about 2.5 hours.

She's down to 2 breastfeeds a day and just drinking whole milk the other times. She eats...well, not enough. But she's happy, she's active, and she tugs at your heart like no other.

Yup, we're in so much trouble.

How do you discipline your child when they're being so charming and you're trying to be serious but trying not to laugh at the same time?

It's a really good time right now because Mackenzie is like a sponge learning everything so fast. We really have to watch what we say, what we watch, and what we teach her. Because she can pick it up just like that. Having a kid really makes you take a step back, doesn't it? I'm constantly in awe of the fearlessness of kids. Mackenzie included. She's not afraid of anything. She will fall, pick herself up, and try again. Gosh, I hope she never loses that. And I could learn a thing or two from her about not being scared.

Well, my mat leave is officially over. Bryan and I have set a deadline to replace my  mat leave income by May. 15 or I have to go back to work full time. We have a few things on the go so we'll see what happens! Wish us luck :)

Mackenzie is turning one next month. Seriously, where the heck did the time go?

Well, I'm off! Nothing too much to report these days. I think I'm boring when things are good. Which is not entirely a bad thing. Just makes for boring posts. Maybe I'll start posting some personal development stuff next time. We shall see :)

And Here He Is...

I haven't had much time to think about writing because well, juggling 3 kids takes up a lot of time! I'm sitting here with maybe 5 minutes to spare before the baby will need attention again, so I better get to typing quick! Each pregnancy has been so different. With Mackenzie, I was miserable for the first 22 weeks with morning sickness, and then I felt like I could be pregnant forever! With Bryanna, I was miserable for the entire 39 weeks. I could not wait for her to get out! With this one, I was miserable for the first 20 weeks with morning sickness, and then great for 17 weeks, and then the last 3 weeks...well, let's just say there were some tears. With it being one of the hottest summers, I could not wait for this baby to get out! Plus the inconvenience of not being able to pick up the girls when I wanted to, or bend down to give them a kiss - I just wanted to be mobile again! Week 36 - Almost Cooked!

Or as my friend Tara would put it - almost marinated. Baby can come anytime now, but could use 4 more weeks of baking (or at least I could use it). The sleepless nights have begun. I'm feeling more and more uncomfortable as I walk, sleep, and eat. I can only walk so much before I'm out of breath. It takes me a minimum of an hour to fall asleep. And well, I'm feeling pretty nauseous these days, so food is to a minimum. All this is preparing me for when the baby comes, I can't wait! (note sarcasm) Had my baby shower this past weekend and it was great! The ladies in charge did a great job decorating and a lot of people made it out, which was awesome. We bought our first baby item this week - a playpen from Babies R' Us (it was 40% off, I couldn't resist!). Next up on the list is a stroller. STILL trying to figure that out.
